Michael Bristow | Team Leader, Cardiff, UK

I joined Conduit Global back in October 2016, I’d heard about the progression opportunities in my training, and my Trainer actually told me about his journey, which got me excited for what I could achieve if I set my mind to it. After speaking to my Team Leader in a one to one, I made it clear that I wanted to progress, and my Team Leader put a path in place to get me to where I wanted to be, as well as suggesting ways in which I could gain more experience. I attended regular Lunch and Learn sessions put on by our Training Department to help build on my existing skills. This led to me attending more in depth training focused on my personal skills – this gave me the confidence and skills to take on more responsibility within my team, whether it was becoming a complaints champion or sharing best practices in our Team Talks. In late spring I applied to be part of the Conduit Global Academy, which is a program for future leaders looking to develop. This gave me a bigger insight into the company and helped me build on the skills I’d picked up in Lunch and Learns along the way. In August 2017 I was successful in my application to become a Team Leader. I’ll always be thankful to Conduit Global and my Team Leader for continuously focusing on internal development and progression.

I started with Conduit Global in November. Since starting training I find the company and employees have been very friendly and welcoming – nothing is ever a trouble, you could ask the same question about a thousand times, and they always answer with a smile. Conduit has given me the opportunity to build a different career and has helped me have the confidence to gain new skills.

I joined Conduit Global in August 2016 as a Customer Service Advisor, and I applied to the Conduit Global Academy in 2017 to help me progress within the business. After the Academy I developed into different roles in the company; I was fortunate to be successful in applying to be a Trainer, helping share best practices with our new starters. I’m currently a Team Leader, and each and every day I put what I learned at the academy into practice, whether it’s providing coaching to my team or managing my time. I’ve been given the tools I need.

On my first day I was really anxious about coming into training, but I was quickly put at ease by my trainer, Richard. We played some ice-breakers, which was a fun way to get to know everyone else in training. After I finished training I remember thinking to myself, “I can’t remember anything,” but after a recap with the knowledgeable coaches I came out ready to take my first call. As the day went on I became more confident knowing the coaches were on hand to support me. I’ve really enjoyed the first few weeks here, and I can’t wait to join my team and start my career.
